Akhavan Saffron began its career in 1972 in the field of production and packaging of saffron under the brand of "Akhavan". This brand opened its first retail store in Mashhad and then in Tehran in 2001. Although the official name of this group is registered as "Akhavan Maroos", packages are entered to the market with the brand of "Akhavan” also. As a major player in both selling the bulk Saffron to different cities and producing different kind of packages and by recruiting expert team, Akhavan saffron has been able to cover a large portion of domestic market and also a huge part of exporting to foreign markets and therefore is one of the most successful brands in the luxury market of Iranian saffron now.
